Tim Osborne: Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau
Osborne was inducted into the Georgia Dugout Club Hall of Fame in 2015.
Tim Osborne didn’t follow in his father and grandfather’s footsteps of playing professional baseball. After lettering at Georgia State from 1983-84, Osborne joined the Major League Scouting Bureau shortly after college and has been there ever since.
Osborne was inducted into the Georgia Dugout Club Hall of Fame in 2015.
"Considered a master teacher in the scouting field, he is the lead instructor at the prestigious MLB scouting school held in Phoenix, Ariz., annually,” former Georgia State coach Greg Frady said of Osborne. “Tim has trained countless professional scouts that have risen to all levels of professional baseball."
Osborne serves as the area coordinator, covering amateur players, free agents, professional teams and international events. He is well-respected in the scouting fraternity.
