Newnan's Marc Gilmore (right), who led the Cougars to the Georgia High School Association Class 5A state baseball championship, was recently named the ABCA/ATEC High School Division II Regional Coach of the Year.

Georgia coaches named ABCA Regional Coaches of the Year

Newnan High School baseball coach Marc Gilmore has been named the High School Division II Regional Coach of the Year by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).

Gilmore recently guided the Cougars to the Georgia High School Association Class 5A state baseball championship.

In addition, Georgia Gwinnett College baseball coach Jeremy Sheetinger has been named the ABCA NAIA Regional Coach of the Year.
