The winningest baseball coach in Georgia State history, Greg Frady was inducted into the Georgia Dugout Club Hall of Fame in 2017.

Frady completed his 13th season in 2019 for the Panthers where he had a combined 370 victories. In 19 seasons as a collegiate head coach at Georgia State and North Florida Community College, Frady finished with a career coaching mark at 557-477-1.

Actively promoting the game of baseball at all levels, Frady is a longtime member of the Georgia Dugout Club and the founder and chair of the organization's Ethics Committee.

Before Frady took over at Georgia State, the program had achieved just two winning seasons in its history, but he guided the Panthers to six 30-win seasons, including the school's first conference title and NCAA berth in 2009. Frady coached a handful of All-American players.

Another milestone for the program came in 2014 when former Panther pitcher David Buchanan, recruited and coached by Frady, became Georgia State baseball’s first Major Leaguer with the Philadelphia Phillies. More than 100 of his former players were drafted or signed professional contracts.

During his time at Georgia State, Frady completed a highly successful 11-year stint as the head coach of the German National Team. In July 2016, he was inducted into the German Baseball and Softball Hall of Fame.

In 2013, one of his pupils became the first product of the German baseball system to reach the Major Leagues when Donald Lutz made his debut with the Cincinnati Reds, and two more German team members have also advanced to the Majors. Frady won more than 100 games in international competition from 2004-14, and in 2010, he was named European Coach of the Year.

Before he was named head coach at Georgia State in June 2006, Frady spent two seasons as the Panthers' associate head coach under Mike Hurst, who is also in the Georgia Dugout Club Hall of Fame. Frady came to GSU after seven season as associate head coach at UCF, and before that, he won 187 games in six years as the head coach at North Florida Community College.

Frady is a native of Ellijay, Ga. and a graduate of Gilmer High School. He played college baseball at Troy State, where he was a member of the Trojans' NCAA Division II national championship team in 1986.
